Help with Beard Wax for a extra hold fixation
Hello dears, hope you are doing fine. I am a follower of this forum for many years and it is good to have a place like this to learn from everybody. i need to request your help with the issue i am having with a customer that needs a beard wax with strong fixation. The formula usually do for this product is the following:
Beeswax: 35%Shea Butter: 25%
Cocoa Butter: 10%Almond Oil: 10%Grapeseed Oil: 10%Coconut Oil: 9%
Fragance: 1%This is the formula I am using with my beard line, it gives me normal fixation and regular customers accept this. But the new customers needs more fixation.I have done many modification to my formula: increase level of BeesWax, change butter for Petroleum Jelly, replace oil for heavy oil, etc, but haven´t sucess with this. The Fixation is not increasing.
I want to ask you if you can give me support with this modification, what do you recommend to add to increase the hold for the beard? is my formula correct for you? are the ingredients correct, just need to modify the percentage?I really appreciate your help and thanks in advance.BR,Juan -

My favourite moustache firm hold product is just a mixture of acacia gum, water and perfume. It really does give a very firm, if somewhat crispy feel to your whiskers - but doesn’t droop in the tropical sun.
Whether you feel like adding some water and acacia gum along with emulsifiers, is up to you.

In a word “Crispy” when dry and in your beard/moustach. As a liquid it is viscous.
The product I used is an Indian “Fixer” and it really is just acacia gum, water, preservatives & perfume. It does give a very firm hold and washes out easily.
