    Hi All,

I am currently formulating a cleansing shampoo for Afro textured hair with a bit of carrier oils (2.8% of olive, Shea butter and almond oil).

Also thinking of using 2 different kind of preservative as I will be using fermented rice water so formula might be a bit prone to mould and bacteria although my rice water extract contains a preservative and has been extracted in glycerin and water.

my question is, is 2 different kinds of preservative a bit much ? Thinking of using Phenoxyethanol EHG (inci - Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin) and preservative eco plus (inci - Benzyl Alcohol, Salicylic Acid, Glycerin, Sorbic Acid) together.

anyone has any experience with these preservatives? Do they they work ? Can I use them together or can I just use one and it will be fine?

    Thanking you all in advance

You should probably use multiple preservatives. Yes, you can use those types together.
