    Hi, all.

I want to establish the viscosity stability of a lotion and a cream, specifically to observe whether it will last for 18 months without separation. Is the centrifugation method practically accurate? Also, if a previous formulation with a lower emulsifying wax content lasted for , say 12 months, does increasing the amount (and type) of emulsifier alone guarantee a higher shelf-life?

Also, if cetearyl alcohol is not an emulsifier, why is it being used at a very high % in lanette wax with much success?

Has anyone succeeded in making a lotion without a carbomer, or without a neutralized carbomer? How did you do it?

Thank you in advance for your input.
