Home Cosmetic Science Talk Formulating Dipropylene Glycol as a carrier oil

  • Dipropylene Glycol as a carrier oil

Extreme newbie here! I’m making an aroma kit, similar to a wine kit with bottles of individual scents you’d encounter when tasting wine. I’ve been looking into various fragrance oils and planned to use Dipropylene glycol as a “carrier” to dilute so that it’s skin safe if it gets on hands. (Or nose!). Is there something I could be using that would be better, or cheaper, safer for shipping, hold fragrance better, etc? Is this formulation too simple? Am I overlooking something? Thank you for your help (and patience!)
