Can you add water soluble extracts in an oil formulation

Hey guys ☺️
Your input and help is appreciated for this (small or not so small problem)

Ive been making a face oil serum for my face which I like. However, I bought some extracts only to realize that they are water soluble that I wanted to add to the face oil.

I’d like to know (without making a lotion or cream) if it’s possible to mix water soluble extracts into an oil? If yes, how do I do that while still keeping the product as an oil.

@Nthabi_joy i don’t think it is possible without emulsifier .

Hmmm so you’re thinking I’d have to introduce water to make a lotion?

may be it is the adequat solution or use your extract with rose hydrosol it very healthy for skin @Nthabi_joy

There are emulsifiers that allow incorporating small amounts of water to oil based formula. The same way as polysorbate 20 is used to incorporate small amounts of oil into a water solution. The only one that comes to my mind is lecitin, but I am sure there’s more.

this the video of making desired product it sees that oil level is more then 50%
Even by my experience for desired effects oil level almost will be more then 50%
So you think i can not make my product with more then 50 % oils?

I’ve used polyglycerol esters such as Polygycerol-10 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides as a way to dissolve small amounts of water soluble actives into oils.
