Looking for manufacturers of shampoo based blends

Hello everyone.

I am in search of manufacturers/suppliers of shampoo based blends who can supply to me so that I only need to add water and maybe fragrance or preservative before I sell.

If you know any please I would like to know and have their contact. Thanks.

Plantaren APB is what I use.

Not sure where you are located but Galaxy Surfactants have such ready to dilute and fill blends.

Colonial Suga Det Mild. They even have a starting formula as you described on their company website.

well Galaxy have a manufacturing plant in Egypt so that should be easy for you. If at all it works out for you!!

If you peruse the sell sheet https://www.colonialchem.com/fullpanel/uploads/files/sugadet-mild-tds.pdf it lists a simple starting Formula with the Suga Det Mild.

Colonial is a larger more mainstream company, so they may not send samples to accounts they have not evaluated (business as usual) or tiny accounts. If that becomes an issue, Formulator Sample Shop repackages and sells the Suga Det Mild as well.

@Belassi what other ingredients do you add to Plantaren APB?
- CAPB, basically. Often I add Polyquart H-81 as a conditioning agent.

I contacted BASF but I was told that Plantaren APB is not available in their Europe portfolio (which Africa operates Under) only in their North America portfolio. They suggested Plantacare k 55 which contains Lauryl Glucoside and CAPB only.

@Belassi would I need another surfactant with this Plantacare k 55?

I am unable to answer your question but I do have a possible alternative.
Texapon KD SO3 appears to be functionally equivalent to Plantaren APB.
However it is also by BASF so you will have to check availability.

I use Plantapon LGC Sorb from BASF here in South Africa.

LGC Sorb is a completely different blend, but, I also stock that and it is an excellent blend, perfect for sulphate-free formulation and synergistic with sodium cocoamphoacetate. It IS a bit pricey though.
