In what respect do you want to use it? as a back up to your emulsification system?

thickener for what? Will you PLEASE be specific. We are not mind readers.

Cetyl alcohol is insoluble in water
so unless it’s part of an emulsifier system, it will slowly sink to the bottom. -
Cetostreyl Alcohol can be good thickner for cream/ Lotion. with ceto Macrogol 1000.

My cream/lotion is so thin. I want that the lotion is thicken but no greasy.

You may also be able to use a little Glycol-Distearate. Will help give a powdery after feel as well.
