  • Is Salicylic Acid Soluble in Oil?

Posted by avinie250 on April 28, 2018 at 4:08 pm

Hi! I am trying to make an anhydrous serum made up of 100% carrier oils. I want to dissolve 1.5% Salicylic acid into 10% Propanediol while heating at 113F. Can I simply add this to my anhydrous serum? Will I need anything else for it to properly dissolve?

You should be able to add the SA/Propanediol directly into anhydrous serum depending on the oils you are using.Do it and test F/T and 50 C for a couple of weeks.
