    Need help with preservative combination. I am trying to get 2 years of shelf life for these products.  Here is my combination of preservative, will it help me to get 2 years of help life without Oxidation of the products.

    Liquid Dishwash : pH 6-7 .. Preservative : SB: .5% and DMDMH: .5%
    Liquid Hand Wash: pH7.. Preservative : SB: 0.5% and DMDMH : 0.5% BHT: 0.5%
    Floor Cleaner: pH 5 BHT: 0.5%
    Glass Cleaner: pH 5 BHT : 0.5%
    Rose Water: DMDMH: 0.5%

    SB is sodium benzoate?. It works at low pH, so it won’t work. 

    We can’t guess what will suit you since we don’t know what’s on each product. Preservation systems are made accordingly.

    Also, preservation also depends on your manufacturing conditions. Without stability testing you can’t say something is going to have a 2 year shelf life.

    BHT is not a preservative.

    0.5% BHT, isn’t that way too much?
    In a document from a supplier I have here they recommend 50-100 ppm (0.005 - 0.01%)
