Chemical stability of raw ingredients
Some of my raws are expiring soon and I wonder if I really need to throw them away or if I can use these a bit longer.
I still have ferulic acid left, it doesn’t seem like it’s oxidized. A while ago I had a batch from another supplier, that probably had oxidized, it had a slight pink colour and a pleasant, sweet flowery smell (definitely not an off-smell). But the batch that expires next month, is white and has no odour at all.I also have a few grams of hyaluronic acid left (regular molecular weight), which also expires next month.
… and some Sepimax Zen (this month).
Please feel free to share any tips/information/suggestions you have.

the expiry date is the latest date the supplier can guarantee their material is fit for use, based on the results of their QC testing
this doesn’t necessarily mean the material is unfit for use after this date, it just means further QC testing will be required to extend the guarantee
