Conditioner Concentrate - cetearyl alcohol (and) stearalkonium chloride
I used to use a product called Conditioner Concentrate - cetearyl alcohol (and) stearalkonium chloride, that I would buy from WSP (called Hair Conditioner Concentrate) and they discontinued it about 2 years ago. I then began buying it from Saffire Blue (called Conditioner Concentrate Pearls) and they discontinued it about a year ago.
I loved it for my leave-in conditioner - simple, but effective formula for dry, coarse hair with
3.53 % conditioner concentrate
4.5% oils (3.92 RBO and .654 castor)
3.9% glycerin
.3% CETAC
EDTA
Liquid Germall Plusand for my deep conditioner formula - similar to above but adding BTMS 25.
Does anyone know why this product is no longer available??? I really loved it in my conditioners.
I recently made a new leave-in with same oils, glycerin, CETAC but used
BTMS 25 - 2.33%,
cetyl alchohol - 1.1%
Behentrimonium Chloride 1.1%
It’s not quite as nice as my old formula, but close. I feel it needs a bit more slip, glide and bit more conditioning and detangling. The weight and thickness was comparable to my old formula and that is good.I have on hand: Cetearyl alchohol, cetyl alcohol, Behentrimonium, Incroquat CR, BTMS 25, BTMS 50 and SD, which I have not experimented with yet due to the need to adjust the ph and I just haven’t played with that yet. If I do use it I will use only a small amount and maybe ph might not need adjusting. I’m not sure.
I do not want to start using silicone. I didn’t use it in my old formula and I don’t want to use them now.
Any help and suggestions is appreciated. Thank you so much.
