I want to add some ingredients to the following below from makingcosmetics.com. I made the lotion and loved it because of its simplicity and its effectiveness. The only tging I didn’t like was tge sticyness of the gkycerine but wanted to add some ingredients that target dry and aging skin.
The ingredients are Algae Extract & Hyaluronate Gel, Lacto-Ceramide, and Provitamin B5 (d-panthenol. See ingredients, percentages and prperties of each ingredient in screenshots below.

I accidentally posted only half of my post so here is whole post. the rest (I attempted to edit the first post but got a weird error message I had no clue about). All of the image files for the formula and ingredients are in the above post. Sorry for any confusion!

I want to add some ingredients to the following lotion formula posted below from makingcosmetics.com. I made the lotion and loved it because of its simplicity and its effectiveness. The only thing I didn’t like was the sticky feeling  of the glycerin and would like to replace it with an ingredient that has similar properties of drawing moisture to the skin, or to just increase the % of another water based one such as the aloe vera gel.Additionaly I want to add some ingredients to the fomula that target dry and aging skin.

As the formula and products are all from makingcosmetics.com I considered posting on their forum until I noticed that the questions go unaswered and no one a knowledge base in formulating cosmetics seems involved. I hope That by citing their website as the source I will not be infringing on copyrighted material. (Yikes)!  :#

The ingredients I am intersted in adding are Algae Extract & Hyaluronate Gel, Lacto-Ceramide, and Provitamin B5 (d-panthenol. See ingredients, percentages and properties of each ingredient in screenshots below. Each one has a function that I am intersted in adding. These are listed in the aforementioned screenshots.

My questions are 1) the replacement of the glycerin, 2) how to rework formula to add some percentage of each new ingredient  and hiw to decide percentage of each Using the ingredient guidelines from the information from makingcosmetics.com, 3) would these be added to the water phase and thus subtract the total% of the three combined from the total amount of water, 3) does this change the percentage of preservative needed, and 4) would these additions interfere with the emulsion holding or in some other way drastically change the lovely smooth and easily absorbed viscosity or alter the feel of the lotion.

On a seperate note, could I replace the preservative PhenylAroma Phenylpropanol, ethylhexyl glycerin with Liquid Germall Plus which has never caused any irritation of my sensitive skin? If so should I keep it at the same percentage?

Wow, I know that’s a lot of info but I am trying to adhere to the rules of the  forum which I understand as don’t be a lazy ass and expect us to do the work for you!

    Thanks for helping me!
