Preservatives for okra extracts in product
Hello. I’m developing a deep conditioner which is to contain dried okra powder to form mucilage in water. It also contains natural oils and butters, honey, glycerin, silk protein and fatty alcohols.
I know this product is prone for mould and other fungi.
I am new to formulating, so I need advice on an appropriate preservative that would allow it last for at least a year.
My options are mainly phenoxyethanol, sorbic acid, sodium benzoate.
Please let me know if this would be good enough and at what percentage, or if you can suggest a better preservative. Thanks a lot in advance.
