New forum software - Notice any bugs?
Posted by OldPerry on January 16, 2018 at 8:13 pmHello
I’ve recently upgraded the forum software to the latest version. Could you please report any changes / bugs / errors you have noticed?
thanks

I’ve noticed a few threads today that were submitted in multiple. I like the move of the notifications to the side with icons instead of at the top.

Just noticed that all the threads are highlighted as if I’ve read them all.

So far so good, I like the fact that I can edit the post (or I just noticed now?)
It would be nice to have extended options on comments for the mobile version (I can’t insert links for example), but it’s not important.

@DAS - thanks for the feedback! I believe you can edit comments for only about an hour after you post it. You might check to see if you can edit an old comment and let me know.
It’s set this way to prevent someone from deleting comments on long threads which makes the whole thread worthless.
If anyone wants something deleted at a later date, they can just ask me.

And perhaps it gets blocked on page reload.
Nope, 15 minutes is the rule.Another thing, I guess the protection is set by default, but HTML view can be dangerous (code injection and such).

@Doreen81 I was wondering if I accidentally hit that! Darn it! Lol

I was surprised when I first saw vanilla as the board used in the forum. I’d suggest Xenforo, best forum board script ATM and at a reasonable price.
