    Dear All,

    I’m formulatiing a cream based on Kojic Acid 2 % and I want to get stable emulsion by using (Cetyl alcohol ,Glyceride Stearate , Cetearth- 20 , mineral oil ) and suggestion about the percentage of each ?

    6 % of Cetyl alcohol
    3 % of Glyceride Stearate
    Cetearth-20 1 %
    mineral oil 5 %

    and the other humectant on water phase will be used

    you need to use HLB system to calculate the percentages of your emulsifiers (glyceryl stearate and ceteareth-20). Link below will show you how to do that.

    Cetyl alcohol and mineral oil are thickener and conditioning agents so you have to play with the numbers to get the feel that you want for your cream.
