    Hi all,
Can anyone please advise the difference in preservative properties between sodium methylparaben & methylparaben and any preference? Looking to use it as part of a system in a toothpaste formula.
    Many thanks,
    Charlie

I am not aware of any differences in preservation:main difference is solubility in cold water of the sodium salt (Ph is about 9.5) so has to be neutralized during process at some point.
