I am baffled as to why many people prefer to use shampoo bars as opposed to regular liquid shampoo. Technically, the solid shampoo would be very alkaline which would then translate into very dry hair after repeated use. When checking on the internet, I can see that people are using vinegar rinse to counteract the alkalinity. But still, I do not understand why one would go through the hassle. Many reasons have been forwarded to promote the use of shampoo bars, like ease for travelling, less plastic in the environment, natural (???), etc… It’s a growing trend and I would like to understand before I start tweaking my own.
