Home Cosmetic Science Talk Formulating Searching for a surfactant

  • Searching for a surfactant

I would like to make a cleanser similar to one that I use. It only contains 5 ingredients. I am having trouble finding Acylglutamate which is the listed surfactant in this cleanser. I found it mentioned in the Switch Craft Monkey but the company listed in the post no longer sells it. What are the chances of having a chemist or lab formulate this for me? I am not a scientist and I am very new in this field so please excuse my ignorance.

I don’t think it’s available in less than 25kg quantities.

Wow! That’s a huge amount. I guess I may have to just stick with a surfactant that’s easier to purchase.
