Replacement for peg-8 beeswax
Hi I’m trying to make hair pomade and at my place it’s hard to get peg-8 beeswax.So is there any other things that can replace it?

Yes, there are many. Where have you tried to look for formulations so far?

I never try to put any wax on it but the cetereth in the formula make the thing harden but not as I wanted.Does xantham gum can replace it ?@Bobzchemist

Is it a clear product, how hard you want the product to be? I have a similar product which is pretty stable at 45C and I just got rid of PEG-8 Beeswax without any problems. More so I got a better clarity, if you are looking to add PVP or any similar polymer then be ready to compromise with clarity. Can be anything from translucent to opaque white.

A little bit hard from gel.

Yeah I have a very thick product which you have to scoop with your fingers and it has a melting point. So you see it is indeed hard.
