  Ceramides and Phytoceramides

  I’ve been looking into ceramides and came across plant derived ceramides (phytoceramides), but couldnt find information on them relating to skin care formulation. Some information or links would be very useful!

  In regards to phytoceramides, what would the right proportions be of phytoceramides and fatty acids to help repair the skin barrier?

  Thought the last one made reference to the ideal ceramide/cholesterol/free fatty acid ratio but it’s in this one

  The ratio of ceramide/cholesterol and fatty acid was originally outlined in an NIH study. I would hazard a guess that the above links probably footnote this study somewhere. It is helpful.
