Preservatives and base to use with coconut oil?
Hello
I’m wanting to start a small business selling pressed glitters and eyeshadows. For the pressed glitters I’m looking at using the following ingredients - isopropyl alcohol (70%), cosmetic grade glitter, and fractionated coconut oil (as a binder instead of glycerin) and sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate as a preservative. Is this a suitable preservative to work with these ingredients?
Would the sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate also be a suitable preservative for the pressed eyeshadows?
Also, would sericite mica lauroyl lysine be a suitable binder to use for the pressed eyeshadows with the rest of the ingredients - fco, mica and iso alcohol, and possibly the preservative above?
All suggestions and comments welcome
thank you
