    Hi :-)

Sorry, I think is a very newbie question….
    But, i don’t understand it.
I found cosmetic bases at the
    http://www.naturallythinking.com/cosmetic-bases/moisture-cream.html

They blending tips is: I can add plus 35% oil.
Is it possible? will not be a problem with the emulsion ? And the preservative % will not be too low? 35 % extra oil is very much is not it?

How many the maximum % which can add to the bases?

without a need to increase the amount of the preservative and the emulsion remains stable?
It is possible to add anything if the emulsion is already cold? (not made with cold emulsifier)

    “Is it possible?”

That depends on what you mean. Sure, you can add 35% oil to this cream. That doesn’t mean it will be stable (it probably won’t be) and doesn’t mean it will be safe (the preservative will certainly be compromised).

    “(what) is the maximum %…?”

I don’t know. Unless you know the percentages of the other ingredients you can’t say.

In my opinion, these cream bases are a waste of your money if you plan on doing anything with them other than making products to use on yourself right away.

    Thank you so much Perry!
    I thought the same thing. I just thought I ‘m stupid :-D
I find sometimes (no….often ) odd things on the net and I think that is very deficient in knowledge (ok, that’s the way it is ….)

the maximum % … okay I will make a formula, and I share here :-)

I do not want to work with it, just just looking at the company’s label. And I found it :-)

A rule of thumb is 5% of anything (actives, essential oils etc ). Usually bases are formulated to allow for that much. It may have been a typo. Send them an email to be sure :)

I asked this distributor /manufacturer. They said this product is stabil with extra 10% ingredients.
    I don’t understand it…
Usually,  formula of the cream base is not 100%? the formulation of basic  should be less than 100%?

I am thinking of preparing my own the cream base using it for different purposes. Just wanted to confirm if I add those actives, botanical extracts, niacinamide, proteins, ceramides, etc will they still perform as they should after adding them to the cold cream?
