Sheet mask manufacturing
Hi.
I have always wondered how sheet masks are manufactured and injected with a formula. Anybody have some information on this? I tried looking for machines that could do the job, but couldn’t really find any.

Be careful there is a market before you invest in that. First, try selling some at your target price. See if they sell. In my market, they are a nonstarter.

Natural, these are made with die-cut cellulosic film, which is then cut/formed/inserted into a form/fill/seal pouch, then liquid formula injected into pouch, then pouch sealed. Voila - facemask. Our firm (we are the pouch kings of the New World) has looked into it, given our equipment and skill-set, but the die-cutting equipment and retro-fitting needed to fit our nonwoven wipe insert line is expensive. Unless someone approaches us with a solid order in the millions of mask units, it will remain on the drawing board for now. Try Taiwan in the meanwhile.

I’ve also seen similar products made by coating a layer of product onto a layer of non-woven cellulosic film, letting it dry, and then die-cutting the film. Made this way, the masks need to be hydrated by the customer before use, but it does solve some micro control issues.
