    I have our first products made 5 years ago with parabens still preserved after sitting around all this time in all sorts of temperatures. Kind of like a McDonalds burger. Very useful list, I will save it.

    You will notice that even though the parabens remain the most popular if you calculate the percentage of use this has decreased significantly because the amount of formulations investigated has increased.

    It is interesting to see that the isothiazolinone preservatives are still increasing in popularity even with the concerns over irritation and allergy.

    Hello, what about formol, sodium benzoate and Nipacide? those are very popular in south america and do not figure on the list? Regards

    This list is from Canada and the US. I’m not sure about usage in South America. Sodium Benzoate is 12th on the list.

    I have made my own research, and found out that Nipacide is a blend of parabenes. thanks for your repply Perry.
