I’m not sure what you mean by degreaser. Is this for a person (as in degreasing hands), for tools as in cleaning them, or for some other purpose?
Do you have a product example you could share? -
I am assuming that you are talking about an industrial degreaser.
Have you tried googling for this type of formula. Have you contacted your raw material suppliers because they often have starting formulas.
I suggest looking at Prospector and at the following websites for starting formulas.

There are two ways of removing grease: surfactants, and solvents. And possibly enzymes too, although that’s an area beyond me. I’ve read that often, a combination approach works best. The usual solvent of choice is D-Limonene. Engine degreasers use a different approach, for instance Gunk. They are very secretive; it’s a mixture of “aromatic hydrocarbon oils” and up to 10% of non-ionic surfactant. Probably similar to soluble oil as used in workshops. A self-emulsifying system.

it is a simple degreaser for kitchen use…perry
i have looked for a lot of formulas but the main ingredients are not available in my countryso i have to use what i have!! thank you ozgirli have tried 5% lauramine oxide1% sodium xylen sulfonate and 3% LABS but its not stablewhat else could i try for grease removal job???do i have to add limonene to my formula?? belassithank you for your answers -
yes i did i added sod.hydroxide
but when i add lauramine oxide to LABS solution it turns into white solution -
I am sure this would be help for you.

If I was formulating a new degreaser, I’d want to combine surfactant cleaning with solvent loosening.
So, an emulsion/microemulsion of limonene, lauramine oxide, cocamide DEA, and NPE or potassium soap would be my starting point. -
Have you considered increasing the pH.
Do you have access to any non-ionic surfactants?
-
bobzchemist iam going to try it….thank you i will let you know what happened with me
ozgirl the pH is 11-12i dont really have this access and this is my challengethank you all it have been a helpful advises
