This is a warning I suppose.

I ordered 2 Kg of licorice extracts from a Chinese company.
Due to scarcity, licorice exports are restricted, apparently. So, the shipping company decided to label it instead as methyl cellulose.
When it arrived at my end, customs immediately gave me masses of trouble and I’ll almost certainly have to send it back to China and have them resend it via airmail which stands a better chance of getting here.
    So, watch out…

There is a company here in the US names Stryka Botanicals.  They usually have good prices (maybe not as good as China).

I’ve never ordered any cosmetic ingredients from China, and don’t plan to because of the problem with counterfeits and mistranslations.

Anyway, thanks for the warning; you’ve probably saved a few dozen lurkers a lot of hassle.
