@Bobzchemist I purchased  3lb of steam distilled indonesian Patchouli dark the purpose is for to use it in soaps and fragrances, however a customer is asking me to thicken it (?), my first impulse is to dilute it in Jojoba oil to keep it natural, however I’m wondering if there is a suitable oil compatible thickener that will do. Thanks

Hhhmm… Would fumed silica work in any application? One that has the same refractive index would thicken your oil a and still leave a clear solution. Just throwing an idea out there!

Am I wrong? Isn’t this an essential oil?? Why thicken an EO?
