Crystallization in Cream
Hi Everyone,
I have formulated a very basic cream for a very particular customer. They have noticed some crystallization around the thread of the sample pot. The sample is from September 2013. My retained samples do not show any signs of crystallization.The formula is as follows:Stearic Acid 4.50%Cetyl Alcohol 3.50%Glyceryl Stearate & PEG-100 Stearate 2.00%Isopropyl Myristate 1.00%Lanolin 1.00%Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Almond) Oil 1.00%Aqua (Water) 84.64%Tetrasodium EDTA 0.10%Cyclopentasiloxane & Cyclotetrasiloxane & Dimethiconol 0.75%Caprylhydroxamic Acid & Phenoxyethanol & Methylpropanediol 0.80%Does anyone out there have any insight as to what could be causing this? Any advice would be gratefully appreciatedSarah
