naturally perceived preservative for higher pH
Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone had any advice regarding a preservative which can be used at a slightly higher pH? I am formulating a range of dog washes and conditioners - I am of the understanding that the dogs skin requires products which are slightly alkaline - hence I need a preservative to fit the bill. The customer is wanting the range to meet ECOCERT standards so that rules out DMDM hydantion, parabens etc… All of the preservatives I usually use are most effective at a lower pH (for humans) so I am a bit stuck.Any advice would be gratefully receivedCheersSarah
