Synthetic Fragrance (Phthalate Free?)
If you work with synthetic fragrances that are hypoallergenic/phthalate free, I would love to know how you claim “phthalate free” on your labels, if you include it as one of your product’s marketing.
I know that “free of/free from” is getting a lot of heat in the EU, so I’m looking to see how others are addressing this claim in relation to the EU.Thank you in advance! -

At the very least you get certification of what’s not in your fragrance (certified from the supplier) and in some cases it is possible to get full ingredient disclosure from the fragrance house.

In the US at least, the term ‘hypoallergenic’ doesn’t have any legal meaning and pretty much anyone can use it.
I’m not sure how you would say your fragrance is phthalate free when the “free from” claims are being banned. In the US you could still say it.
