Hello All,
I am having a similar issue with my cream pilling once other things like makeup (foundation) is applied. My formula consists of the following:
Distilled Water 40%
Rose Hydrosol 20%Veg Glycerin 5%Caffeine 0.50%Niacinamide 2%
D-Panthenol 1%MSM 2%Xanthan Gum 0.30%Sweet Almond Oil 6.75%Naturemulse 6%Stearic Acid 2%Lauryl Laurate 3%Rosehip Seed Oil 5%Carrot Oil 5%Vitamin E 0.1%Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate 0.5%L-Arginine 0.05% (If needed to adjust PH)Phenylpropanol EHG 0.8%I read a comment above that the niacinamide should be added at 70c. Could the issue be that I have been adding it before heating? Any advice is much appreciated.

I’m not on Etsy, I started an LLC and have a set of tried and true products. I am currently educating myself further and am working towards developing a few more products to add to my line

Thank you all!

Thank you! I appreciate your response. I use E-wax along with Stearic Acid in my lotion formula and it works great. My thoughts were, that combo would be too heavy for a formula that goes under the eye area.

Thank you, as I mentioned in a previous comment, I really am just curious as to what others think about the two preservatives. I have done a lot of studying, and have developed a whole line of face and body products, and my company is doing well
I know about percentages, and the fact that Vitamin E is not a preservative. Again, just curious as to what others think about those two in particular.

Hello Microformulation,
Thank you for your comment!! I completely understand the complexity of the topic, it’s a constant learning process. I suppose the purpose of my post is to see what others think about those two preservatives in particular. I am interested in learning more about the Hurdle Process and will do so. I’d like to contact your company to learn more about your services. Is there anyone in particular I should contact? Cheers, Heather
