For emulsion of Neowax165 no i did not use gelling agent . for sensicare c1060 phenoxyethanol effect the viscosity almost but with differents intensity depend on formulation . For shampoo formulation i find piroctone olamine effect also the viscosity of product the point of glyceryl laurate i really i did not get it …

I haven’t time till now to make other samples with neowax 165 just the same formulation using sabowax AE gives higher viscosity.

About the used level of emulsifier you have right however it is not just to stabilise oil but to reach a desired viscosity and texture .

Actually in laboratory best resultats was given by pq 39 , pq 7, lauryl glucoside and guar cationic . Just should work on the adequat level .

No all cellulose are bad in pumping. The problem is not gelling I did with many gelling agent however almost are bad in pumping for brush foaming bottle pump.

Actually in 300 kg batch , have you suggestion about time ? i guess even in laboratory it needs more than 2 min then (high , slow) speed can you translate to rpm/min ?

for 3) supposed to calculate required hlb , you will not calculate the required hlb of cetearyl alcohol?

5- Yes Phenoxyethanol reduce viscosity and maybe sensicare c 1060 reduce more this is the first point and second the drop of viscosity is more important using neowax 165 then other emulsifiers .

Thanks a lot for sharing and I can help you about stability problem just as a quick help 3% of BTMS 25 is just 0.75% emulsfier so alone in this level is it logic to haven’t stable emulsion.

BTMS is almost for hair care not skin care. If it is fine for skin which level suggest for BTMS and cetearyl alcohol?

And which type of BTMS are you using 25%?

Conditioning (we fixed as feeling sliky and soft) so it is “mesured” by sensory evaluation for skin and hair by many users and all said the same thing . I know that Lauryl glucoside supposed not conditionner however in my formulation it makes superior conditioning effect compairing to peg-7 glyceryl cocoate used in same level .
