Will liquid germall plus at 0.5% be an effective perservative without have to worry about “marketing.

    claims”.

Would Really appreciate your inputs .

Thanks alot for your reply, i’ve been battling this problem for quiet some time now 🙂

Answering your questions and i hope i answer them accurately as i’m not a chemist unfortunately!!!!

    The quat is Stepan yes.

and the TEA was as you mentioned to raise the PH for better cleaning efficiency (At least that was the intention of the formulator as i believe)

i’ve thought of adding a hydrotrope but the extra cost discouraged me ( as i mentioned this issue didn’t use to happen so i had hope to resolve it without any core modifications).

seems like eliminating the TEA is the safest route to take.

the packaging is PET plastic bottle with a Pump cap, and the intended use is to remove milk residues, odour while providing good foaming for “aesthetics ” and giving the sense of “cleaning” too.

the claims is to be Paraben free ,fragrance and colorants free and sulfate free.

    The material is plastic bottles.

The odour would come from any milk residues on the sides of the bottle.

Appreciate your response sagestudent. I hope this thread would be helpful for you too.

I have read that zinc ricinoleate is pretty good in this regard but i would wait for someone with more knowledge and experience to say his word 😀

    Thanks for thenrwply PhilGeis ????

The PH is neutral around 7.

Do you have any suggestions about increasing the effectiveness of the perservative system (i assume “and please correct me if I’m wrong” that this combination is optimal around PH 5 to persevere the product effectively).

But i want to stay away from MCIT/CMIT for labelling and marketing reasons.
