would the following ingredients dissolve in one phase?
Hi there chemists,
Before I ask my question I would like to mention that I have a deep interest in hair oil formulations and do DIY for my personal use once a while but those are pretty simple formulations generally containing 2 or 3 ingredients.
Recently, I came across this patented formulation which I’d love to experiment with. It is a leave-on light hair oil which claims to enhance scalp moisturization, manageability and shine. The ingredients mentioned there are:Isododecane=——————————————30%
Coco
Caprylate /
Caprate = —————————qs up to27.5%
Isopropyl Mristate=————————————-20%
Dimethicone 10 cst =———————————-7.50%
Dimethicone 2 cst =———————————— 5%
C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate =——————————- 2.5%
Octyldodecanol=—————————————-3%
Cocos Nucifer Oil = ————————————-2%
Propylheptyl Caprylate=———————————2%
Fragrance=———————————————-0.5%My question is whether this formulation can be accomplished in one phase and if there is a need to follow a certain order of adding ingredients to get the final product. Also, can both these dimethicone forms be replaced with cyclopentasiloxane? My aim is to get a light hair oil which does not weigh my hair down.
