It’s the Carbomer with Triethanolamine as it’s neutralizer.

Can I use Siligel to make this into a gel? Or even Tara Gum? I am trying to use up what I have in the cupboard .
Ingredients:
Purified Water
Glycerine
Pentylene Glycol
Benzalkonium Chloride
Cocoamidopropyl Betaine
Sodium Chloride. -
There shouldn’t be any issues with Tara Gum, though you will need to check if Siligel can take the Benzalkonium Chloride & Sodium Chloride.

Siligel is not completely transparent. The product will be cloudy and will have unpleasant texture compared to crystal clear and fluffy carbomer gels. Would it work? Probably yes but would customers want it?

One significant problem with gums and even siligel is that they are more tolerant of electrolytes. Carbomer works well as a thickening agent for hand sanitizers because when the gel hits the salt on your hands, it releases the alcohol which is ultimately what kills the microbes.
Gums and gels that are salt tolerant will not let loose the alcohol and will likely not be as effective.
There is no point in making a hand sanitizer that doesn’t work to sanitize the hands.

Gel like feel can also be reduced by varying the carbomer like ultrez 21?

Sepimax zen does not need neutralizing and it’s great for hand sanatizer.
