  • WHICH INGREDIENTS REDUCE TACKINESS OF HUMECTANTS IN SERUM?

Posted by ritag on September 6, 2020 at 3:39 am

decided to experiment with a basic simple but effective hyaluronic acid serum by adding INULIN and it came out too sticky for my liking….  is it possible to counter the tackiness by adding an ingredient with the right properties or will i have to sacrifice the entire batch?   appreciate any response you may have, thanks

it depends on everything already in your formula. Butylene glycol can help cut tackiness , starch, you could add a water-soluble silicone

I would say just use a different humectant. Inulin is tacky.

    Can you add ethanol?
