    hi, can you recommend any thickeners for sulphate free surfactant shampoo,  but no gums

    @Hanson25 It actually depends. If you don’t need to suspend anything, then you can try with Crothix Liquid, Versathix, Novethix L-10 or Glucamate LT. But if you need to suspend something, you can combine one of those with a carbomer.

    @ketchito   Thanks , i don’t need to suspend anything, was trying to negotiate with a company for tego remo 95 for sample size. But will try crothix liquid as its easily avaliable. I’ll let you know the results.

    Recently I have formulated very good sulfate free shampoo with Ceteareth-60 Myristyl Glycol (Elfacos GT 282S from Nouryon) as thickener. I also found Antil 141 Liquid very nice thickener for this type of products, but it requires a little bit more percentage than elfacos, while the price is almost the same in my country.

    @Hanson25 : much easier, use Synthalen W600 (acrylates copolymer) at pH 5.5 - 6.5. Liquid drops right in and then throw in any sulfate-free surfactant you want in there, just go easy on the amphoteric.
