  • Thickener for low pH cleansers?

Currently using sclerotium gum which has excellent pH stability and some moisturizing properties, but it’s also very expensive, clouds the formula and needs to be used at min 1% to work.

We’re talking pH 3.5 with 2% glycolic acid here.

Any other options out there? Bonus if clear.

Sepimax Zen? Supposed to be able to tolerate above pH 2.
You could  also use grades of xanthan gum that are clear ( those are typically low viscosity though)

Sepimax seems like a good suggestion, had some issues with xanthan in low pHs before.
