    Dear experts

I want to make a face wash gel for oily skin that contains 2% salicylic acid and 1% lactic acid and I want to use coco glucoside, sodium cocoyl glutamate, and disodium cocoyl glutamate as surfactants.

I know it is better to use disodium cocoyl glutamate and sodium cocoyl glutamate in the same ratio, but I can’t find the right ratio with coco glucoside.

I would be grateful if you could guide me in finding the best ratio.

Hi! Do you want to know the best level or dosage of each? Or their relative proportion? Not sure you’ll find that info. They are all considered mild surfactants. When it comes to viscosity, glutamates are very well known to be very hard to thicken, and I don’t think a glucoside could help much (they are not very antagonistic). And when it comes to detergency, there is also little interaction (among other things, because of the high solubility of glutamates) as to have a synergistic surface activity increase. Perhaps you could clarify which properties you’re searching to increase.

Thank you for your information. Yes, I chose these surfactants because they are gentle. I used equal amounts disodium cocoyl glutamate and sodium glutamate for the pH balance and added xanthan gum for viscosity. Now, I need to enhance the cleaning power, so I want to add coco glucoside. For example, I have 5 milligrams of disodium cocoyl glutamate and 5 milligrams of sodium glutamate. How much coco glucoside do you think is needed for the best cleaning? Thank you for your time.😇
