  • Texique HE10 Compatibility

Good day. I am experimenting with a soothing relaxer formulation. When I add the sodium hydroxide (2% in formula) and water premix to the water and Texique HE 10 premix (thick cream base) the viscosity goes down significantly. The stability pH of Texique is 5.5-11. Is it only the pH that causes this viscosity decrease or is one or more of the components in Texique not compatible with the NaOH?

Texique HE 10: Sodium acrylate/sodium acryloyldimethyltaurate copolymer, C13-15 alkane, coco-glucoside.
