    Does anyone have experience in the production of a minimalistic high-performance sulfate-free high-foaming moisturizing shampoo formulation that contains less than 10 ingredients (not counting the fragrance)?

    @Leo:

    All you need is Water, Betaine, Surfactant Blend, Preservatives

    @MarkBroussard What concentration of Betaine would you recommend?

    @Leo:

    3% to 4% Betaine

    Hi @MarkBroussard May I ask what Betaine does in this formula?
    I made my shampoo with only Water, Surfactant Blend, Preservatives and I was too lazy to thicken it too.
    Thank you in advance.

    Betaine will hydrate the hair … good ingredient to use in “Moisturizing” shampoos

    @Leo just search UL Prospector, many suppliers have free formulations for shampoos.

    There’s a really good reason why these free formulas never become commercial products.
