stearine vs stearic acid
hello there,
can anyone tell me please if i can substitute stearic acid in stearine for lotions?thank you in advance

stearic acid is usually used as neutralized emulsifier in lotions and if this is the case,the answer is no.stearine, is a triglyceride composed of three stearic acid units/unit of glycerin and an oil which has to be saponified to yield stearic acid and glycerine.Sometimes SA is called stearin (no e) and in this case both are synonomous. -
