    Hello,

I am trying to make a stable milky white solution. lets say I want a product of 1 litre.

Oil (0.06%) mixed of 2 oils Citron and Pine
    Surfactant (4%)
Thickened Water (20%) premixed with CMC
    Water to a Litre

May i get any suggestion to get a stable milky white solution? I am a home industry practitioner , i dont have homogenizer or high pressure mixer. all i have is a normal kitchen stick blender.

    Please help

The purpose for your product will determine the type and quantity of surfactant needed. Use enough of the right surfactant, and you can make a stable emulsion with only gentle stirring.

Experiment on it. If the finish product is not enough for you, you can add more and subtract the % of water.

@Lainee hi.. thanks for the reply .. I will do some experiment! but i think mix them manually will create a more stable emulsion compare to a high shear mixing using a blender.. hm….i wonder why

@Bobzchemist hi bob… do you have the procedure of making the emulsion ?

lets say I want to have a 4 litre mixture. so in it normally i would prepare about 1.5% Oil , 1% Surfactant, about 2.5% thickening solution (CMC) and the rest would be water. how do i start the procedure by doing the gentle mixing procedure? i want it white milky at the end .
