I’m a beginner but I’m learning so much and I’m just sort of stuck on the basic construction. I need to do this in order to understand the process myself. Here’s what I think: I’m heating distilled water to 80 C (176 F), I’m assuming adding Stearic Acid and Cetearyl Alcohol to the water? (or heat separately and then add to water?) I’m then heating Shea Butter, Safflower Oil, Glycerine, honey and lanolin to 176 F?  I assume then to add water to oil and remove from heat and slowly stir.  Then cool in the fridge for 1.5 hours?  Remove and blend.  Any guidance to help me understand the basic process would be greatly appreciated.

Ingredients: Water, Oat Milk, Safflower Oil, Shea Butter, Stearic Acid, Glycerine, Cetearyl Alcohol, Honey, Benzoin, Cedarwood Oil, Lavender Oil , Sandalwood Oil, Lanolin

To make an emulsion, you will need to saponify the stearic acid first.

Where did you get that from? Don’t waste your time and money because it won’t work.

    Basic shaving soap:
stearic acid 52%, coconut oil 30%, castor oil 18%, KOH (90% pure) 22.4g per 100g of oils, water 50g, glycerine 20g.
Hot soap process. Add fragrance on cool-down.
