  • Searching for a cosmetic formulator

Hi there! My name is Nils, I have been running my own ecom brands for 7 years and looking to try out the skincare niche. I have used different skincare products for the last 4-5 years or so but I dont have any experience myself with formulating.

My idea is to create a moisturizer very similar to the neutrogena hydroboost water gel that has these ingredients (but also adding SPF into the formula):

Water, Dimethicone, Glycerin, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Phenoxyethanol, Polyacrylamide, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Dimethiconol, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Chlorphenesin, Carbomer, Laureth-7, Sodium Hyaluronate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Fragrance, C12-14 Pareth -12, Sodium Hydroxide, Blue 1

Is this possible? If you have any contacts or yourself is a cosmetic formulator I would love to speak with you.

    Kind regards

    Nils

    Hi @Nils,

I work at a contract manufacturing company that has developed and produced OTCs for the US, EU, and Asia. We are based in the US and work out of an OTC approved facility following GMP guidelines. I’d love to get you in a meeting with our R&D department to discuss your product and goals.

    Hello Nils:

Are you aware that in the US SPF products are regulated as Over The Counter Drug products? It costs approximately $75,000 to get all the development and testing done to bring an SPF product to market. Best you start with a cosmetic Moisturizer.
