Preservative in Cleansing Bars
Hello everyone! I see a lot of cleansing bars do not have preservatives listed in the LOI. I’m wondering how’s this possible? These are soap-free cleansing bars and their pH is usually around 5-6 like regular liquid cleansing gels. Anyone here can help explain how it’s possible to have preservative free soap-free cleansing bars?
Thank you.
Here’s an example (Gallinee Cleansing Bar):
DISODIUM LAURYL SULFOSUCCINATE*
MALTODEXTRIN*
SODIUM COCOYL ISETHIONATE *
STEARIC ACID*
AQUA (WATER)*
HYDROGENATED CASTOR OIL*
CETYL ALCOHOL*
ALPHA-GLUCAN OLIGOSACCHARIDE*
INULIN*
LACTIC ACID*
ARGININE*
PERFUME (FRAGRANCE)
CITRIC ACID*
TITANIUM DIOXIDE*
LIMONENE
