• PEG-FREE

Hi all, I need some suggestion for peg-150 pentaerythrityl tetrastearate replacement. Currently we use this PEG-150 as thickener in our client wash products like body wash. but our client suddenly decided to go with PEG-free products. So, does anyone have suggestion on any ingredients that give similar feel with this ingredient?

    Thank you in advance.

You need to provide more information including what other ingredients are in the product.

I am assuming that if they are going PEG-free that the product is also sulfate-free. Sulfate-free systems are more difficult to thicken than sulfate systems.

sodium cocoyl methyl taurate thickens with salt, have you tried some? you have aslo Hydroxyethylcellulose and gums, since the client want to go more “natural” that’s all that comes to mind
