  Oil Thickener

  I am looking for a material that can thicken an oil system. The formulation I am working on is anhydrous and the end product needs to be clear. I work in natural cosmetics so finding the right material that works within my company’s IL perimeters is challenging.

  @RhondaHaupt if you are trying to create clear oil-gel you can try material called Sucragel. It is “natural” (sugar and glycerine) and will keep the product clear. 25% of sucragel and 75% of oil will give you clear oily gel.

  hello I had some success with xanthan gum, you can get a very clean gum that gives you a clear gel around 0.5/0.6%
