  • Oil soluble PH adjuster to lower the PH?

Posted by kot on August 8, 2017 at 9:08 pm

Wondering if there is an oil soluble active that is capable to lower the PH? If you know one, could you advise, please?  This is not to lower the PH of the oils, but for solid conditioner bar formulated with VARISOFT® EQ 65  and TEGO® Amid S 18 .
    Thank you!

You can’t really refer to “pH” in a solid. Fatty acids yes, are acids, but you can’t really equate them with the concept of pH. At least not in my experience. Others more experienced than I may correct me on this.

@Belassi you are right pH is mostly for water base liquids/ aqueous solutions where the hydrogen ions can be released into the water.
