Oatmeal in bath bomb
Posted by Soexcited on February 5, 2019 at 5:06 amIf I want to include ground oatmeal in an anhydrous bath bomb should I coat the oatmeal in glycerine first?

Why would you want to do do that? Glycerin in anhydrous, let alone a “time bomb” is a bad idea.

Have you thought of the possible problems if someone uses one in a Jacuzzi?

@Gene I don’t “want to.” I wanted to make sure I had interpreted something I read on an old post correctly. I’m glad I asked, because both of your responses are very helpful .
Now that I’m thinking about the idea it seems obvious that covering “bug food” in something that draws in water is a horrible idea

Try grinding the oatmeal in a blender first until its powdery or else there will be oatmeal floating round the tub. Ugh

Good point on the “bug food”. I was referring about putting glycerin in a bath bomb at all. Glycerin would draw or hold moisture into the bomb and cause premature reaction.
